1st Battalion is a unit-level organisation of the 7th Cavalry. It is administratively known as 1-7, which is the abbreviation used in MILPACs and our Forums. 1-7 is the home of Arma 3 in the 7th Cavalry Regiment and is currently comprised of three Companies that perform different roles and military occupational specialties (MOS):
Alpha Company is the aviation element, consisting of both fixed and rotary aircraft pilots and crew.
Bravo Troop is comprised of a platoon of armor crewman that utilize the M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank. Bravo also houses a platoon of cavalry scouts that utilize the M2A3 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle and M1126 Stryker. Lastly, Bravo is home of a platoon of combat medics that perform lifesaving battlefield medical care as well as logistical operator duties.
Charlie Company is the tip of the spear, with two platoons of light infantrymen that are experts at airborne and air assault operations.
1st Battalion's Area of Operation (AO) is currently Arma 3.
