History

Foxhole Stand-Up

Foxhole was originally proposed as a viable candidate for the 7th Cavalry on 11JUN25 by Development Command Lead 2LT Marcel Laui, who also supervised the initial research effort. Development Command made initial contact with CPL Wellington Groves, an external-to-DEVCOM subject matter expert, on 25AUG25, and CPL Andrew Mack began research on behalf of DEVCOM's Future Concepts Center (FCC) on 24AUG25. Initial research was completed on 23SEP25. The Headquarters review process began on 19OCT25 and the proposal was formally approved on 23OCT25.

The DEVCOM Lead position was posted on 17AUG25, and SGT Ryder Leifried was assigned as the DEVCOM Lead for Foxhole on 24OCT25. Foxhole originally stood up as a starter platoon, 4/D/DEVCOM, under Development Command.

At the time of approval, Development Command Headquarters consisted of:

On 27APR26, the Foxhole AO stood up as a starter company, expanding into a second starter platoon at 3/D/DEVCOM, a designation that had become available after the Battlefield 6 starter platoon graduated from Development Command to form C/ACD. As D/DEVCOM HQ, CPT Christopher John Donavan was appointed Company Commander, 1LT Vince Smith Executive Officer, and 1SG Ryder Leifried Company First Sergeant, with Leifried continuing to serve as DEVCOM Lead as a secondary billet.

The Area of Operation officially graduated from Development Command and stood up under the Auxiliary Combat Detachment as a company on 22MAY26, marking the end of Foxhole's time under Development Command. At stand-up, D/ACD comprised fifty-one personnel: a company headquarters of CPT Christopher John Donavan, 1LT Vince Smith, and 1SG Ryder Leifried, alongside two platoons of two sections each.
