Scope of the Foxhole Rules of Engagement

Each rule will have specific definitions as well as an elaboration of its intent. By the end of this document, no question should remain as to what a rule means and how it applies to the player.

  3. No offensive behavior
  4. No soloing combat vehicles
  5. Do not intentionally recruit from other regiments
  6. Do not seek out information you would normally not have access to
  7. Do not aid or abet in the procurement of otherwise secure intel for the enemy

Specific definitions of Foxhole AO Rules

The following numbered list of all AO rules are in accordance with the list above. Each rule has a subsection explaining the intent & spirit of the rule

No Team Killing

  • Team Killing for the purpose of the greater good is allowed. Example : Clubbing a crewman blocking a bulkhead
  • If you accidentally Team Kill or hurt a faction member apologize immediately utilizing local or region chat (Enter by default)

Spirit of the rule - Intentionally team killing other players is detrimental to the spirit of team play. While friendly fire is a reality on the battlefield, it is unacceptable and should be avoided

Do Not Intentionally Waste Assets

  • This includes purposeful disregard and gross negligence
  • A purposeful disregard example : Using a heavy truck as a personal taxi to the frontline & dumping it.
  • A gross negligence example : Soloing a frigate in open water hexes without having the crew to properly man the vessel
  • Final determinations about the intent of actions which result in waste of friendly assets shall be at the discretion of billeted Foxhole leadership / chain of command

Spirit of the rule - This rule is similar in spirit to Rule #1. There’s already enough concern with the enemy faction trying to destroy our assets, buildings & morale.

No Offensive Behavior

  • No racism nor sexism of any kind. Any racist or discriminating remarks or names will result in an instant ban;
  • No political or religious discussions or references including names;
  • No disrespect towards other players - especially our allies;
  • No disrespect towards the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment;
  • No disrespect towards the deceased;
  • No disrespectful or offensive abbreviations;
  • No elitist attitude towards others or taunting;
  • No mic spamming, including music;
  • No trolling

Spirit of the rule - The 7th Cavalry tries to create a fun environment without drama where people can just get together, play and have fun in a tactical environment.

No Soloing Combat Vehicles

  • Vehicles which require more than one trooper to operate effectively must have the required crew
    • Example : An Outlaw requires at least a driver & a gunner to be effective. Therefore you need at least a driver & gunner

Spirit of the rule - You should be trying to avoid wasting assets. If the vehicle has room for a driver & gunner, you’ll be most effective with a driver and gunner

Do Not Intentionally Recruit from Other Organizations

  • If a player is currently in another organization, do not actively try to recruit them.

Spirit of the rule - You can be courteous & even work together (encouraged) but actively trying to recruit them only has potential to sour relationships with organizations we are probably working with already. Let people make their own decisions

Do Not Seek Out Information You Would Normally Not Have Access To

  • Knowingly seeking out information about assets, base layouts, enemy intel.
  • Using information that was provided to you by accident in order to gain an advantage you would not normally have
  • Using alternate accounts to gather information from the opposing faction

Spirit of the rule - Play the game and play it fair. We like participating in Foxhole. Regiments found doing this in the past have been removed from the game. Also a bannable offense via hardware ban by the developer team

Do Not Aid or Abet In the Procurement of Otherwise Secure Intel to the Enemy

  • Knowingly allowing the distribution of secure intel yourself or amongst your peers
  • Knowingly facilitating the distribution of secure intel yourself or amongst your peers
  • Aiding the enemy in any way by providing clues, documents or any otherwise secure information
  • Other Examples at leadership’s discretion

Spirit of the rule - Respect your fellow trooper’s effort & time. Aiding the enemy only degrades the environment we have here. Also a bannable offense via hardware ban by the developer team
