The first line of defense in this critical duty is the new recruit background check. As new recruits are welcomed into the 7th Cavalry, the S2 department conducts a gaming background check on the enlistee. We look at their gaming history using sites such as PBBans and SteamRep. We review former gaming clan activity and gaming website participation. Points of interest include, but are not limited to, checking to make sure that incoming members are currently not a part of another clan, don't have any permanent bans, and have no history of game hacking.

The S2 department also looks for potential threats to the 7th Cavalry. This includes monitoring sources throughout the tactical gaming community and relaying any pertinent information to the General Staff. We also monitor within the 7th cavalry ensuring that current members are abiding by the rules set forth in our General Orders, ROE's, and Code of Conduct.

To do this, CID Agents must conduct interviews, monitor and disseminate intelligence briefings, document and preserve evidence, conduct undercover operations and exhibit unreproachable morals. CID Agents undergo hours of training in investigative procedure, interview methods, and more; a CID badge issued is a badge earned.

Membership in our brotherhood extends a number of privileges to each trooper. These privileges come with corresponding responsibilities. Standards of accountability for the exercise of one's privilege and discharge of responsibility is outlined in our Code of Conduct and General Orders. The rules we have codified and adhere to as a community stand as a bulwark against disorder and chaos. When a trooper strays outside the established guardrails of accountability, formal disciplinary action may be necessary including a Negative Counselling Statement, Article 15, or court-martial proceeding.

In these matters, the JAG department shoulders the weighty responsibility of adjudicating the actions and intent of both the individual and the community. It does so by carefully, fairly, and impartially advocating for rights while requiring responsibility within a framework of carefully defined rules and precedence. Process, impartiality, and fairness are of great importance to those being disciplined for misconduct. The repercussions of a disciplinary decision may be grave. Understanding this, the JAG conducts its business with the highest professionalism and commitment to integrity and transparency.

The mission of the MP Department is to ensure a safe and fair gaming environment for all players wishing to use our servers, both members and non-members alike. This is accomplished by educating all players in our rules and standards of etiquette, accompanied by the swift impartial hand of justice when necessary. Specifically, MPs are guardians of our Teamspeak Policy, General Orders, Code of Conduct and individual game Rules of Engagement.

When a trooper strays outside these established guardrails, the MP Department is the next line of defense. Similarly, when the general public is invited to join our servers and events, we educate and hold them to definable standards of behavior. MPs educate, observe, report, and aid in the removal of anyone who threatens the security or decorum of our gaming community.

Introduction

Every large complex system, no matter how well designed, has a weakness. For the system to consistently perform well, it is crucial that weaknesses be identified and either fortified or removed. Ours is a large organization with many moving parts. S2 stands as a sentinel protecting our brotherhood, ensuring our ability to perform, and safeguarding the untarnished reputation of the 7th Cavalry.

The first line of defense in this critical duty is the new recruit background check. As new recruits are welcomed into the 7th Cavalry, the S2 department conducts a gaming background check on the enlistee. We look at their gaming history using sites such as BattleMetrics and SteamRep. We review former gaming clan activity and gaming website participation. Points of interest include but are not limited to, checking to make sure that incoming members are currently not a part of another clan, don't have any VAC bans under five years, are not under-aged, and have no history of game hacking.
