The Auxiliary Combat Detachment is a unit-level organization of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment. It is administratively known as ACD, which is the abbreviation used in MILPACs and the Forums. ACD has a unique mission to be the home and incubation center for Starter Platoons of new games that have graduated to Company status. Their mission is to grow new Companies, and thus new games in 7CAV, into new Battalions. While treated as a Battalion level unit, the Combat Detachment is able to scale its size based on the needs of the Regiment. ACD is led by the Auxiliary Commanding Officer with the help of the Special Projects Division.
Mission
The mission of the Auxiliary Combat Detachment is to grow the ranks of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment by identifying new games and growing Company sized units of these new games into their own Battalion. In the meantime, they are the home and administrative command and control for new Companies that have recently graduated Starter Platoon, as well as miscellaneous units such as the Reserve. ACD forges future leaders and Battalions!

" Before I joined the Cav I was a member of a few smaller Clans in Europe, UK, and England and developed a friendship with many and still communicate to present day.
My name is Colonel Steve Rogers with the 7th Cav.I have been a member of the Cav for about 13 years. January 17, 2011. I started out in a Game called COD4. Our main Rule was having a crouched server. During my time of having my AO of COD4 2/2011-10/2011. I participated in many COD4 Operations. I Graduated ARMA Airborne School and was assigned as a DIIT for RTC, then became a Full Status DI. Later following up the ladder to NCOIC, eventually becoming at that time XO of RTC then becoming OIC of RTC. January 14, 2012. Transferred and Assigned Platoon Sergeant 1/F/1-7 Battlefield 3. Later to be redesignated on June 5, 2012 as D/2-7 and assigned as 1st Sergeant. During my career, I participated in many Operations with other Clans. Taking on more classes and joining other Departments, S-3, TCC Competition, Knife the General Event, Helping develop Courses and boot Camps for BF3 and BF4. Moved my way up to Captain and Company XO of BF3. Around October we changed from BF3 and Moved into BF4. Developing more courses. October 2013 Promoted to Captain, July 2014 Promoted to Major and Company Commander of D/2-7 on September 2014. During that time completed many Operations and participated in a rare War Order #17 against another Clan 2ID that resulted in a smashing Victory. Completed an Airborne Combat Jump, completed and Graduated SAPPER School for Tab. After having a very successful time with BF3 & BF4 from Oct 2011 through August 2015, we had to close that AO due to developers not updating servers. Transferred back to primary of RTC. Decided to go on ELOA. Returned back to the Cav, Jan 2016 reduced in rank to come back and help Insurgency rebuild, because of mass transfer op people to Squad. Those transfers left about 10 Cav members. I eventually rebuilt Insurgency back to Company Level. Stayed with Insurgency until July 2017. Discharged when AO was disbanded. I then re-enlisted for the Starter Platoon of Hell Let Loose in May 2019. Spent time building HLL Charlie Company. HLL grew to open other AO. I transferred and was assigned as CO of Alpha Company. Helped organize and put out courses and operations. Nov 2021 - ACD Commander, Here I am today with a great staff at ACD Battalion. Not knowing where ACD would go in the beginning. It has turned out to be a great success. Many challenges have been overcome. All of these have been unique and with our Staff of Battalion and each AO of HLL Console, DCS, Squad, and Star Citizen. Everything has been taken care of to the standards of 7th Cav. Many more challenges to come." |
