Mission

The Recruiting Department of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment plays a vital role in expanding the community by seeking dedicated, tactical-minded gamers who thrive in a structured, military-inspired environment. Recruiters actively engage with potential candidates, evaluating their passion for teamwork and immersive gameplay while ensuring they align with the regiment's high standards. They guide new members through the onboarding process, fostering a welcoming and disciplined atmosphere where recruits feel prepared to excel. By maintaining strong communication and upholding the regiment's legacy, recruiters help cultivate a cohesive and elite gaming experience. Their mission is not just to grow the ranks, but to build lasting bonds within a committed and skilled player base.

Lead Recruiter

Chain of Command

  • The Lead Recruiter reports directly to RRD Headquarters (1IC or 2IC).
  • AO Senior Recruiters and Recruiters fall under the operational oversight of the Lead Recruiter.
  • The Lead Recruiter acts as the primary coordinator between recruiter staff and RRD leadership.

Department Leadership Responsibilities

The Lead Recruiter is responsible for maintaining the operational readiness and effectiveness of the recruiting department.

  • Ensuring the RRD department is appropriately staffed to carry out recruitment operations.
  • Providing support and guidance to all AO Senior Recruiters and Lead Recruiters as required.
  • Maintaining communication with recruiter leadership to ensure recruiting standards are met.
  • Conducting staff development to improve recruiter effectiveness and recruiting performance.
  • Ensuring AO Senior Recruiters and Leads are checking that recruiters self-assign enlistments to within 24 hours of being tagged by a Processing Clerk.

Training Responsibilities

The Lead Recruiter is responsible for ensuring recruiter leadership is properly trained.

  • Conducting Initial Command Staffing (ICS) and training for AO Senior Recruiters and Lead Recruiters.
  • Ensuring recruiter leadership understands RRD policies, procedures, and department expectations.
  • Providing continued mentorship and professional development for recruiter leadership staff.

Enlistment Oversight

The Lead Recruiter is responsible for overseeing enlistment activity and ensuring applicants receive proper support throughout the process.

  • Monitoring the enlistment section on the 7th Cavalry website for upcoming enlistment timeouts.
  • Ensuring AO Senior Recruiters and Leads assign enlistments to recruiters within 24 hours of being tagged by a Processing Clerk.
  • Verifying that timeout assignments are properly entered into the RRD Tracker.
  • Following up with recruiter leadership to ensure enlistments are actively being worked and updates are being recorded in the tracker.
  • The Lead Recruiter remains the primary point of contact for the enlistee while they are progressing through the enlistment pipeline to act as a source of guidance and Direction.

Recruitment Support Oversight

The Lead Recruiter must regularly monitor recruitment communication channels.

  • Checking the Recruitment Support area on the 7th Cavalry Discord regularly throughout the day.
  • Responding to new posts and tagging the appropriate AO recruiter staff to assist potential enlistees.
  • Ensuring applicants receive timely support and accurate information regarding games, enlistment requirements, and the recruitment process.

Administrative Responsibilities

The Lead Recruiter is responsible for maintaining department administrative records and personnel tracking.

  • Updating the bi-weekly roll call to reflect:
    • New staff assignments
    • Leave of Absence (LOA)
    • Drop on Request (DOR)
    • Discharges
    • Billet changes

Processing Personnel Action Forms (PAFs)

Posting updates related to:

  • Recruiter assignments
  • Promotions or billet changes
  • Staff removals due to inactivity or failure to perform duties.
  • Tracker and Staff Access Management

Tracker and Staff Access Management

The Lead Recruiter ensures that recruiter staff have proper access to department tracking tools.

  • Ensuring AO Senior/Lead Recruiters obtain recruiter email addresses for department records.
  • Adding recruiter information to the Tracker.
  • Coordinating with RRD 1IC or 2IC to grant access to the RRD Tracker.
  • Ensuring all recruiter staff have the necessary tools to properly log enlistment updates.

Recruitment Process Improvement

The Lead Recruiter is responsible for improving recruiting and retention outcomes.

  • Meeting with recruiter leadership to identify ways to improve enlistment retention.
  • Developing strategies to reduce enlistment timeouts.
  • Implementing improvements to the recruitment and enlistment process.

Professional Expectations

The Lead Recruiter is expected to uphold the standards and professionalism of the Department and the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment.

  • Maintain clear communication with recruiter staff and RRD leadership.
  • Lead by example in professionalism and recruiting engagement.
  • Ensure the recruiting department operates efficiently and supports the continued growth of the regiment.

AO Lead Recruiter

Chain of Command

  • Lead Recruiters report directly to RRD Headquarters / RRD Leadership.
  • AO Senior Recruiters report to the Lead Recruiter.
  • Recruiters report to their assigned AO Senior Recruiter or Lead Recruiter depending on departmental structure.
  • Lead Recruiters are responsible for maintaining communication between recruiters and RRD leadership.

Minimum Requirements (Bi-Weekly)

Lead Recruiters must complete the following requirements every two weeks:

  • Recruiting Time (RT)
    • Participate in a minimum of 1 hour of Recruiting Time (RT) on a 7th Cavalry Tactical Realism server.
    • Recruiting time must involve active recruiting and engagement with potential members, not simply joining and playing.
  • Bi-Weekly Roll Call
    • Lead Recruiters must sign the bi-weekly roll call posted by RRD Headquarters.


Leadership Responsibilities

Lead Recruiters are responsible for managing and supporting recruiting operations within their AO.

  • Supervising Senior Recruiters and Recruiters assigned to the AO.
  • Ensuring recruiters are active and meeting department expectations.
  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and leadership to recruiter staff.
  • Assisting with recruitment planning and coordination.
  • Maintaining professional recruiting standards across the department.
  • Ensuring AO Lead Recruiters and Leads assign enlistments to recruiters within 24 hours of being tagged by a Processing Clerk.
  • Ensuring AO Lead Recruiters and Leads are checking that recruiters self-assign enlistments to within 24 hours of being tagged by a Processing Clerk.
  • Lead Recruiters should maintain regular communication with their recruiter staff to ensure recruiting operations remain effective.

Training Oversight

Lead Recruiters are responsible for ensuring recruiters within their AO receive proper training.

  • Ensuring Initial Training Sessions (ICS) are conducted for all new recruiters.
  • Verifying that training is completed within 14 days of the recruiter joining the department.
  • Supporting Senior Recruiters who conduct training sessions.
  • Ensuring recruiters understand RRD SOPs, procedures, and recruitment expectations.

Enlistment Oversight

The Lead Recruiter is responsible for overseeing enlistment activity and ensuring applicants receive proper support throughout the process.

  • Monitoring the enlistment section on the 7th Cavalry website for upcoming enlistment timeouts.
  • Ensuring AO Senior Recruiters and Leads assign enlistments to recruiters within 24 hours of being tagged by a Processing Clerk.

Lead Recruiters will continue to participate in active recruiting.

  • The primary recruiting channel remains the 7th Cavalry Tactical Realism servers.
  • Participate in recruiting sessions during peak North American or European hours.
  • Lead by example in engaging potential recruits and promoting the regiment.
  • Support recruiters during recruiting operations when necessary.

Enlistment Management

Lead Recruiters oversee enlistment support within their Area of Operations.

  • Ensuring all upcoming enlistments are properly supported by recruiters.
  • Monitoring the RRD Tracker to verify recruiters have assigned themselves to enlistments.
  • Ensuring recruiters add their name to the tracker once they take responsibility for an enlistment.
  • The Lead Recruiter remains the primary point of contact for the enlistee while they are progressing through the enlistment pipeline to act as a source of guidance and Direction.
  • Ensuring the Recruitment Support section of the 7th Cavalry Discord is actively monitored.
  • Lead Recruiters should step in and assist when recruiter coverage is limited or when enlistments require additional support.

Department Oversight and Reporting

Lead Recruiters are responsible for maintaining operational awareness within their AO.

  • Monitoring recruiter activity and performance.
  • Ensuring recruiters and Senior Recruiters meet department standards and responsibilities.
  • Addressing internal issues within the recruiting staff when they arise.
  • Reporting any significant issues to RRD Headquarters through the chain of command.
    • Recruiters failing to complete duties
    • Recruitment challenges
    • Operational concerns affecting enlistment support

Professional Expectations

Lead Recruiters are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the Department appropriately.

  • Lead by example in recruitment efforts.
  • Maintain clear communication with recruiters and leadership.
  • Foster a positive recruiting environment that reflects the values and professionalism of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment.


Senior Recruiter

Chain of Command

  • AO Senior Recruiters report to their AO Lead Recruiter.
  • AO Lead Recruiters report to the Lead Recruiter of the Department.

Minimum Requirements (Bi-Weekly)

Senior Recruiters must complete the following requirements every two weeks:

  • Recruiting Time (RT)
    • Participate in a minimum of 1 hour of Recruiting Time (RT) on a 7th Cavalry Tactical Realism server.
    • Recruiting time must involve active engagement with players and recruiting efforts, not simply joining and playing.
  • Bi-Weekly Roll Call
    • Senior Recruiters must sign the bi-weekly roll call posted by the Lead Recruiter or RRD Headquarters.

Leadership Responsibilities

Senior Recruiters are responsible for supporting recruiters within their AO and ensuring recruiting operations remain organized and effective.

  • Providing guidance and mentorship to recruiters regarding recruitment efforts.
  • Answering recruiter questions and assisting with recruiting challenges.
  • Assisting in the training and development of new recruiters.
  • Helping enforce and explain RRD SOPs and policies.
  • Supporting recruiters during recruiting sessions when needed.
  • Senior Recruiters should maintain a visible leadership presence and ensure recruiters have the support necessary to perform their duties.
  • Ensuring Senior Recruiters and Leads assign enlistments to recruiters within 24 hours of being tagged by a Processing Clerk.
  • Ensuring Senior Recruiters and Leads are checking that recruiters self-assign enlistments to within 24 hours of being tagged by a Processing Clerk.

Training Responsibilities

Senior Recruiters are responsible for supporting recruiters within their AO and ensuring recruiting operations remain organized and effective.

  • Conducting Initial Training Sessions (ICS) for new recruiters.
  • Ensuring new recruiters are trained on department policies, procedures, and recruiting expectations.
  • Completing this training within 14 days of the recruiter joining the department.

The primary recruiting channel remains the 7th Cavalry Tactical Realism servers.

  • Log at least 1 hour in a single session during peak time for either North America or Europe.
  • Assist with popping the server and maintaining active recruitment efforts.
  • Lead by example when engaging with potential recruits.

Enlistment Oversight Responsibilities

Senior Recruiters are responsible for ensuring enlistments are properly supported by recruiters.

  • Tracking and verifying that upcoming enlistments are being taken by recruiters.
  • Ensuring recruiters assign themselves to enlistments and properly update the RRD Tracker with their name and required information.
  • Monitoring enlistment support to ensure applicants are being guided through the enlistment process.
  • The Lead Recruiter remains the primary point of contact for the enlistee while they are progressing through the enlistment pipeline to act as a source of guidance and Direction.
  • If an enlistment has not been assigned within 24 hours of being alerted by an RRD Clerk, the Senior Recruiter will assign themselves and ensure the enlistment is supported.

Department Accountability

Senior Recruiters must maintain accountability within their Area of Operations.

  • Monitoring recruiter activity and engagement.
  • Ensuring recruiters are meeting department expectations and requirements.
  • Reporting any issues within the AO, including:
    • Recruitment concerns
    • Recruiters not completing duties
    • Operational issues affecting recruitment
  • All issues should be reported through the department Chain of Command (CoC).

Recruiter

Minimum Requirements (Bi-Weekly)

Recruiters must complete the following requirements every two weeks:

  • Recruiting Time (RT)
    • Participate in a minimum of 1 hour of Recruiting Time (RT) on a 7th Cavalry Tactical Realism server.
    • Recruiters are expected to actively engage players, provide information about the unit, and encourage interested players to enlist. Simply joining and playing without recruiting does not count toward this requirement.
  • Bi-Weekly Roll Call
    • Recruiters must sign the bi-weekly roll call posted by the Lead Recruiter or RRD Headquarters.
    • Failure to sign two consecutive roll calls will result in removal from the department.

Primary Recruiting Channel

The primary recruiting environment will be the 7th Cavalry Tactical Realism servers.

  • Log at least 1 hour in a single session during peak time for either North America or Europe.
  • Assist with popping the server and maintaining player engagement.
  • Actively recruit players, answer questions, and introduce them to the structure and culture of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment.

Enlistment Support Responsibilities

Recruiters are responsible for assisting new applicants through the enlistment process.

  • Enlistment Assignment
  • Recruiters must support all upcoming enlistments when available.
  • Once a recruiter assigns themselves to an enlistment, they must add their name to the RRD Tracker associated with that enlistment.

Applicant Guidance

The assigned recruiter will guide the enlistee through the enlistment process, ensuring they:

  • Understand the enlistment requirements.
  • Submit the required application information.
  • Complete necessary steps on the website.
  • The recruiter remains the primary point of contact for the enlistee while they are progressing through the enlistment pipeline to act as a source of guidance and Direction.

Recruitment Support

  • Recruiters must actively monitor and respond to requests within the Recruitment Support section of the 7th Cavalry Discord.
  • Any enlistee requesting assistance must receive timely guidance and support from available recruiters.

Contact Logging

Recruiters are expected to log contacts with potential recruits in the Recruiter Messaging section on the 7th Cavalry Discord.

  • Logging contacts allows RRD leadership to:
    • Track recruiting effectiveness
    • Measure recruiter activity
    • Ensure adequate recruiter coverage during peak recruiting periods

Initial Training Requirement

  • Within 14 days of joining RRD, recruiters must complete an initial training session with their assigned Senior or Lead Recruiter.
  • Failure to complete this training within the required timeframe will result in automatic removal from the department.
