S1 Department - Approved Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) List

Like its real life US Army equivalent, the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Code is used to identify the specific job and primary billet of a member of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment, which is used by the S1 Department to complete that member's official uniform and other personnel functions. This is the official approved MOS list for use by the S1 Department.

Purpose & Scope

The purpose and scope of these MOS codes is to be used at the Regimental level by the S1 Department to help determine specific billet and transfer assignments, automate uniform decorations (such as cords and branch insignia pins), MILPAC implementation, and other personnel requirements. They do not determine the actual MOS of a member within their Battalion/unit or in-game setting. The appropriate unit command authorities, such as Battalion Commanding Officers (or their game AO equivalent), will make those specific MOS determinations within their own scope of command, unless otherwise determined by the Regimental Chief of Staff. The S1 Department will do their best to match them within the existing Regimental approved MOS list below to reflect combat roles/jobs within game as best they can, within reason, and within the approved Regimental MOS code list provided below.

Oversight & Disputes

The Regimental Chief of Staff (COS) is ultimately responsible for the oversight of this MOS list. The COS will adjudicate any disputes over these MOS' and have final decision making authority on this approved Regimental MOS list. Any changes to the list must be approved by the COS or their designate. The intent is this list will be implemented at the discretion of S1 HQ and delegated to the appropriate staff of the S1 Department.
