Roy Bowman (UNK - November 15th, 2017) was a member of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment. Bowman served as a Trooper and Section Leader in Echo Company, 2nd Battalion
7th Cavalry Career
Roy Bowman enlisted with the 7th Cavalry on the 21st of November, 2012 and graduated 12 days later on the 3rd of December. Bowman was assigned as a Trooper in F/1/E/2-7, where he would serve fora day before transferring to D/1/E/2-7 as a Trooper, then finally to A/1/E/2-7 on the 17th. Roy Bowman attended six operations in his career, earning his CIB and two Joint Service Commendation Medals for service in those operations. In addition, he received promotions to Private First Class and Specialist in December 2012 and March 2013 respectively, as well as being assigned Section Leader of A/2/E/2-7. He was given a General Discharge in May 2013.
Roy Bowman passed away on the 15th of November, 2017.
Legacy
On the day after his death, then PFC Law.S posted the following:
It is with a Heavy Heart that I advise y'all of the passing of my Best Friend and Former Cav Member, Roy Bowman or Rollbar. He joined a short time after me and assisted in the Standing up and Operations of Planetside 2. He had to leave us due to real life commitments and challenges and could not maintain a Primary Billet Assignment. Cancer claimed him yesterday, after a long and hard fought battle. He did the very best he could but called in his last fire mission Danger Close. I would request that everyone keep his family and to be honest myself in their thoughts!!
We lost another Damn Good Man to this Evil Beast we call Cancer!!
You went All The Way Roy!! You Will be Sorely Missed and I Love Ya Brother!!
