Role of Company Staff

The role of the Company Staff is to execute the vision of the Battalion respective to the Military Occupation Specialties assigned to the Company. The Company Staff is comprised of the following:

  • Company Commander
  • Company Executive Officer
  • Company First Sergeant

Responsibilities

The following is a list of basic responsibilities. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, merely the base on which to start. Refer to the Company Staff ICS in Battalion SOPs for a more complete list of duties and responsibilities.

  • Responsible for the ongoing health and morale of the Company in all respects.
  • Be available to the troopers of the Company at all times when online.
  • Admin game servers as required.
  • Perform administrative duties associated with the Company, i.e. reports, discipline.
  • Train and directly supervise platoon staff.
  • Other duties as required.

Company Officer Duties (CO/XO)

Daily Duties

  • Take Care of Troopers - When on TeamSpeak be available for your troopers. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over TeamSpeak, Discord or the forums.
  • Make an effort to meet with members of Platoon Staff to build a rapport and ensure a positive working relationship with them.
  • Spend time with troopers and leadership within your Company.
  • Administrative tasks - Ensure transfers, AWOLs, PAF Logs and discharges happen in a timely manner, and monitor them for any changes to the Company Strength.
  • Counseling - Issue appropriate counselling measures as required to ensure understanding and compliance with all rules, regulations and minimum expectations.
  • Promotions - Follow Regimental SOP in regards to promotion recommendations passed up from within the Company. Perform spot checks to ensure no one who meets promotion requirements has been overlooked.
  • Ensure information is passed up and down the Chain of Command in a timely manner.

Weekly Duties

  • Accountability - Ensure you are attending one Squad / Section practice a week within the Company.
  • Roll Call - Ensure Squad roll calls are posted in the appropriate area of the forums no later than 0700HRS Zulu every Sunday.
  • Report Follow up - Follow up with Platoon Staff weekly reports, coach and counsel as required. Work with Platoon Staff to resolve any issues that arise during the week. Ensure Counseling Statements and other documents are being processed as required.
  • Report - Work with your Company Staff to compile the weekly report so it is ready to be sent to Battalion Staff no later than 0700HRS Zulu every Thursday.
  • Recruiting - Spend at least one hour per week on the public server.

Monthly Duties

  • Company Growth - Focus efforts on growth of the Company. This can be through organizing and encouraging Company events on the public servers, as well as leading by example when it comes to playing and recruiting on the public servers.
  • Leadership Development - Spend time with a different Platoon Leader on a monthly basis, ensuring they understand our vision and their part in it. Support them as required.
  • Monthly Training Plan - Coordinate with the Company Staff to outline Monthly Training Goals to be used by Platoon Staff. The training goals will be used by Platoon Staff when creating their Monthly Training Plan.
  • FTX - Coordinate with your Company Staff to plan and conduct one Company FTX every two months. Ensure the FTX adheres to standards and guidelines outlined by Battalion Staff. One FTX every 4 months must be held on one of the public servers
  • "Of the Quarter" - Evaluate recommendations for "Trooper and NCO of the Quarter"
  • Meetings - Attend the Command Staff Call meetings and any Regimental meetings.

First Sergeant Duties
