Britton served with distinction in multiple positions in the 7th Cavalry, which include specialties in combat engineering, airborne infantry, and ground infantry. Britton additionally engaged in different games supported by the 7th Cavalry, such as ARMA III, War Thunder (as a starter platoon), and Hell Let Loose.

7th Cavalry Career

Enlistment and 1st Battalion Service

Brian Britton enlisted in the 7th Cavalry on the 26th of May, 2016, completing boot camp on the 28th of May with perfect scores, which earned him the honor of being named as honor graduate. Britton would then transfer to the training unit to become a combat engineer within Charlie Company, 1st Battalion and would be fully transferred in July, 2016. Britton attained the rank of specialist shortly after his assignment.

Britton eared his first medal during Operation Black Gold in which he provided accurate firing support for an advancing element. Britton's actions were key in the success of the mission and for his skill in the field, he was awarded the army commendation medal.

On the 12th of May, 2017, Britton transferred to the airborne infantry specialty and completed an additional 8 operations within the next 6 months. In this time, Britton would be awarded with the Purple Heart, Joint Service Commendation Medal, and the Joint Meritorious Unit Citation.

On January 5th, 2018, Britton transferred to general infantry. In this time, Britton completed the Non Commissioned Officer Academy course, allowing him to reach his highest attained rank of Corporal. Britton completed 2 more operations before discharging on the 24th of September, 2018.

Return and 2nd Battalion Service

Britton fully returned to the 7th Cavalry on the 28th of February, 2020 upon the announcement of the War Thunder starter platoon. Britton distinguished himself in the starter platoon, attaining a leadership role within the platoon. To his troopers, Britton's section practices were known as "The Battles of Britton" earning him the nickname of "Britain".

Despite Britton's best efforts and the efforts of others, the War Thunder platoon was shut down in June of 2020. Britton then transferred to the Hell Let Loose area of operations where he remained for the rest of his 7th Cavalry career until his passing on September 2nd, 2020.

Legacy

Britton is remembered among his platoon staff and his troopers as an active and enthusiastic trooper and section leader, dedicated to his billets to which he served with the best of his ability. Britton's impact is felt with his relationships within First Battalion and Second Battalion, as well as the support departments, and command staff of the 7th Cavalry. In honor of their fallen member, Britton was memorialized with full honors by the Hell Let Loose community of the 7th Cavalry on the 5th of September, 2020 in the ingame church of St. Mere Eglise.
