1. Charlie Company Official Of The Quarter Recommendations Policy

This policy exists to illustrate the required process that Leaders in Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion shall use to recommend troopers in their respective commands which:

• Espouse the values of the 7th Cavalry.
• Exemplify the behaviours of the model trooper, NCO or Officer within the 7th Cavalry.
• Render extraordinary services over a sustained period to their primary unit.

“*” - NOTE: Q4 submissions are required earlier due to Furlough overlapping with the 04JAN due-date for submissions to Battalion. =3. Process:

• Platoon Leaders shall consult with their Platoon Sergeant in the period beginning on the Start Date and concluding on the End Date defined in Section 2 of this procedure each quarter.
  • Platoon staff may recommend one trooper (any trooper not in a position of leadership)
  • Platoon staff may recommend one NCO (any trooper that is CPL / WO1 (E-4) and above or in the position of Assistant Section Leader or Section Leader.
  • The grounds for recommendation must be in-keeping with all of the requirements outlined in Section 1, and it must be above the minimum standard for the position.
  • Secondary Billet service is excluded from the scope of recommendation.
• Platoon Leaders shall make recommendations in the form of a forum private message to the Company Commander, Executive Officer and First Sergeant on the End Date defined in Section 2 of this procedure each quarter. The time at which this is due shall always be considered 2359Z.
• The Company Commander shall consult with their Company Executive Officer and Company First Sergeant in the period beginning on the Start Date and concluding on the End Date defined in Section 2 of this procedure each quarter.
• The Company Commander shall make recommendations in the form of a forum private message to the Battalion Commander, Executive Officer and Sergeant Major on the End Date defined in Section 2 of this procedure each quarter. The time at which this is due shall always be considered 2359Z.
  • This shall always be in advance of the requirement from Battalion Headquarters to submit recommendations by the 4th of the month beginning the next quarter.
