Purpose

Provide direct instructions to S1 Clerks for normal tasks

Roles & Responsibilities

Role	Responsibility
S1 OIC	Ensure that all newly appointed S1 Personnel receive this information
S1 NCOIC	Ensure that this procedure is followed
S1 Personnel	Read and agree to these procedures before accepting an S1 Position. The procedures must be followed when performing S1 Duties

2. S1 Personnel must ensure that all information entered into the MILPACS is accurate and entered in a timely manner. Generally 48 hours; however, during busier times may be extended to 72 hours.
3. No information should be entered into MILPACS unless a forum posting is made in the correct area of the forums or with CoC instructions.
4. Always use the information from the actual post on the forums as the poster may have made an edit.
5. Always check the post to make sure another S1 Clerk has not already completed the task. Generally, this is why CoC recommends to stay in your assigned Area of Operations and to split the duties with your fellow clerk in that Area of Operations.
6. The date used for all record entries is the posting of the topic unless specifically mentioned in the posting. Some medal will be dated for a different date than the post. Make sure to use the correct date at all times.

Service Record Entry Texts

Use the following reply to post on forum once you have completed the Milpacs Update

• Processed S1/Milpacs created.
• Processed S1/Milpacs updated.
• Processed {A/2-7} S1/Milpacs updated.

  Update the AO as necessary for your assigned AO.

Enlistments & Bootcamp Graduations

Used when creating a new MILPACS record or when promoting a recruit to Private (E-2) / Private First Class (E-3) (Honor Graduate)

• Enlistment
  • Enlisted in the 7th Cavalry Regiment, Assigned Boot Camp {001/01/2011}
• Graduation
  • Graduated Boot Camp, Promoted to Private (E-2)
• Honor Graduate
  • Graduated Boot Camp, Promoted to Private First Class (E-3)
  • Named Honor Graduate
• Reinstatement
  • Reinstated in the 7th Cavalry Regiment, Assigned Boot Camp {001/01/0001}

    Used when a past member re-enlists and is assigned a Boot Camp. Change the Boot Camp number as needed

• Marksman Award
  • Awarded for the completion of one or more of the weapons qualification courses with average scores.
• Sharpshooter Marksman Award
  • Awarded for the completion of one or more of the weapons qualification courses with above average scores.
• Expert Marksman Award
  • Awarded for the completion of one or more of the weapons qualification courses with excellent scores.

Transfers

Used when updating MILPACS records when a trooper is transferred from one Section/Platoon/Company/Battalion to another

• Transferred and Assigned {Armor Crewman A/1/A/1-7}
• Transferred and Assigned Section Leader {A/1/A/1-7}
• Assigned {Section Leader A/1/A/1-7}
  • Used when a member is assigned a position but does not make a movement to another section. Ex. A trooper promoted to SL for the same section. The member have the same AO, but a new position.

ELOA

• Returned from ELOA, Transferred and Assigned {Section Leader A/1/A/1-7}
• Returned from Retirement, Assigned {Section Leader A/1/A/1-7}
• Reinstated, Reduction in Rank to {Corporal (E-4)}, Transferred and Assigned {Trooper A/1/B/2-7}
• Used for re-enlisted members with a reduced rank and do not need boot camp
• Placed on ELOA
• Placed on ELOA Due to Military Deployment
  • Only used if the forum posting states that the ELOA is for Military Deployment
• Returned from Military Deployment, Assigned Trooper {A/1/A/2-7}
• ELOA Extension
  • Used only for accepted ELOA Extensions
