Purpose
This SOP outlines the process for assessing whether a 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment (7Cav) member is involved in dual clanning, which is not permitted within the regiment.
Scope
This procedure applies to all members and recruits of the 7Cav when there is a suspicion or claim of dual clanning.
Procedure
Follow these steps to determine if a member is engaged in dual clanning:
Step 1: Assess Game Type
- Determine if the game is a First Person Shooter (FPS).
- If Yes, proceed to Step 2.
- If No, conclude that the member is not dual clanning.
Step 2: Check the Game Category
- Determine if the game is classified as an MMO.
- Check the game’s description on platforms like Steam (e.g., Planetside 2).
- If Yes, conclude that the member is not dual clanning
- If No, proceed to Step 3.
Step 3: Clan Activity
- Check if the other clan is active.
- If Yes, proceed to Step 4.
- If No, conclude that the member is not dual clanning.
Step 4: Organizational Structure
- Check if the clan has a rank structure or requires a formal joining application.
- If Yes, proceed to Step 5.
- If No, conclude that the member is not dual clanning.
Step 5: Evaluate Other Unit's Requirements
- Compare the requirements of the other unit with those of the 7Cav.
- Analysis: If the other unit has no requirements beyond simple activity, which is significantly less stringent than the 7Cav's requirements for participation in SP and roll calls, classify it as Not dual clanning.
- Continue to Step 6 only if other indicators or concerns warrant further investigation.
Step 6: Visibility of Affiliation
- Check if the trooper has worn the clan tag or recently been active on their media.
- If Yes, Hold the folder, document the findings, and proceed to Step 7.
- If No, proceed to Step 7.
Step 7: Membership Validation
Documentation
All findings, including any interviews conducted, decisions made, and actions taken, should be documented in the member's file.
Conclusion
This SOP is crucial in upholding the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment's (7Cav) integrity by ensuring a fair and systematic approach to investigating potential dual clanning situations. Your adherence to this procedure is mandatory and instrumental in maintaining our regiment's high standards
