Transfer Process
The following SOP contains the whole process of initiating and forwarding a transfer request within the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment. It also sets the authority of approving transfer requests. This guide is valid for transfer requests at all levels (Section, Platoon, Company, Battalion).
Definition
A transfer is when a member moves from one unit to another within the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment.
Approval
Transfers are never denied and can be made for any reason, so they should always be approved. A transfer is also not effected by active negative action.
Holds
However, Staff do deserve to be notified of all transfers within their scope of command so they can monitor changes to their unit's strength. Therefore, a transfer may be held for up to 24 hours to allow Staff time to see the transfer and communicate with the trooper if desired. Or it may be held up to one week if disciplinary action is pending in order to allow Staff an appropriate amount of time to complete the pending disciplinary action. A transfer will never be a way to avoid disciplinary action.
Primary Billets
Posting authority lies with the receiving element lead.
- Transfers will be placed on hold if disciplinary action is pending
- Transfers from Battalion to Battalion will be approved by the Chief of Staff
If a Trooper wishes to transfer outside of their Company, they will fill out the transfer PAF:
Transfers within a Company can still be handled internally.
- Transfers from Company to Company in the same Battalion must be approved by a member of Battalion Staff on the transfer PAF
