Introduction to Posting a Class

Posting a class is now done exclusively through the 7th Cavalry website. Posting a class involves using the integrated calendar tool, and copying the content from a pre-established template.

Titling

Every class posted will have the following title format:

School Name Abbreviation | Full Course Name | Date and Time in Zulu (Format DDMMMYY TTTTZ)

As an example, The Cavalry School posting a Basic Armor Crewman Course would be titled as such:

TCS | Basic Armor Crewman Course | 24JAN21 1800Z

Event Creation

Posting a class requires use of the forums.
Step 1: Proceed to the Training & Classes sub-forum and select your AO.
Step 2: Toward the top right of your screen, there should be a yellow button labeled 'create event'. Select that, and in the drop down it will ask you to "add event to". Proceed down to the classes section, then toward your AO.
Step 3: Fill out the title of the class with the following format {Game Name| School Abbreviation| Full Class Name| Date | Time (in Zulu)}
Step 4: Using the templates provided in the S7 Training sub-forum, insert this into the body of the event.
Step 5: Make sure to specify a location below that, this is where the troopers and cadre will meet.
Step 6: Make sure when setting the time zone of the class it is important to use (UTC+00:00) Zulu Time - Default as this will correct the time to all others that may be used.
Step 7: Fill out any other section as required.

If there are any questions, please bring it up the chain of command to your Lead and/or Senior Instructor.

Additional Notes
