Exceptions to the rule - For training purposes; a trainer may utilize a very limited team killing of ONLY cadre players in order to serve a legitimate training purpose (e.g for qualifications). A written training plan containing the circumstances of the usage of the planned team killing must be approved by Company Staff prior to the training date.

Spirit of the rule - This rule is about fair competition. We want everyone to have fun, therefore everyone should get the opportunity to fight back. If you see that the enemy is unable to get out of their spawn area, you need to fall back. We do not wish to create an environment where we are ruining their fun. The exception would be if the game mode forces you to move into spawn.

Spirit of the rule - The 7th Cavalry Regiment encourages focused team-play mechanics that are synonymous with the in-game mechanics of Hell Let Loose. Not having an Officer/Squad Leader prevents the section from having outposts and from placing Garrisons. We believe requiring an Officer/Squad Leader to be in each section enriches the server environment and contributes to a high level of game play and enjoyment.

Specific definitions of Hell Let Loose Console The following numbered list of all rules are in accordance with the list of above. Each rule has a subsection explaining the intent of the rule.

1. No intentional team killing/Griefing

  • Commonly called 'TK'ing' or 'Team Killing' - the purposeful killing of a teammate is not allowed
  • Intentional infractions of this rule are subject to disciplinary actions
  • Team Killing for even “practical” reasons such as to respawn or as an agreed sparring match, is prohibited
  • If you accidentally Team Kill or hurt a team member, apologize immediately.
  • Intentional destruction or disabling of friendly equipment, e.g., getting vehicles stuck so others can not use them, is prohibited.
Spirit of the rule - Intentionally team killing other players or griefing teammates is detrimental to the spirit of team play. While friendly fire and equipment loss is a reality on the battlefield, it is generally unacceptable and should be avoided.

2. No Offensive Behavior

  • No racism nor sexism of any kind.
  • No inappropriate discussion, political or religious discussions or references including names.
  • No disrespect towards other players.
  • No disrespect towards the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment.
  • No disrespect towards the deceased.
  • No disrespectful or offensive abbreviations.
  • No elitist attitude towards others or taunting.
  • No mic spamming.
  • No trolling.
Spirit of the rule - The 7th Cavalry tries to create a fun environment without drama where people can just get together, play and have fun in a tactical environment regardless of what other public players are doing.

3. No Camping Headquarters Zones

  • No intentionally choking an uncapturable spawn area, blocking all areas off from escape.
  • Engaging players using artillery pieces located in HQ is authorized.
  • No camping of the enemy HQ’s is allowed. The HQs may be engaged freely if the final objective is active.

4. Each Squad Must Have an Officer/Squad Leader

  • All Squads in the game must have a Squad Leader.
  • The exception to this is during swaps for legitimate game purposes such as node building.
  • When practical, a Squad Leader should be reestablished.

5. All Players Must Have A Microphone

  • All players must have a microphone to communicate with their Squad and other Squad Leaders.
  • Commanders and Squad Leaders must have a microphone to communicate with their team and other Squad Leaders.
Spirit of the rule - 7th Cavalry members should always promote positive communication while playing with others.

6. No Solo Tanking or Solo Locked Recon

  • Armor must be occupied by at least 2 people. No "lone-wolfing" armor.
Spirit of the rule - Armor is a vital asset to each team. To make best use of the armor, there needs to be 2-3 players in each tank.

7. Seeding - Combat Strength Under 20 vs. 20 (40 players total)

  • The current sector point will be the only playable objective
  • No Vehicles other than Supply and Transport Trucks are allowed to leave the HQ sectors
  • This only applies to CAV VS. CAV or when there is a planned operation. At the discretion of the field commander in regular operations, units may proceed as normal to engage in order to properly seed standard gameplay.
Spirit of the rule - When both teams have less than 20 players in organized matches, both teams agree to only play over the current sector (map dependent) with reduced combined arms to promote a better player experience until there are enough players to seed standard gameplay.

8. No Abuse of Vote to Kick

  • No 7th Cavalry players should abuse the vote to kick option of players for any reason that is not legitimately detrimental to gameplay.
  • No vote to kick in order to make room or for other non abuse reasoning.
Spirit of the rule - 7th Cavalry members should always promote a positive image and gaming environment. Kicking players out for reasons other than abuse would not be conducive to maintain a positive image or to the spirit of what we stand for.
