7th Cavalry Career
First Battalion Service
Kyle McGehee enlisted to the 7th Cavalry Regiment on May 5th, 2017 and graduated Bootcamp two weeks later on the 14th of May. After completing bootcamp, McGehee was assigned as an airborne infantryman in Charlie Company, 1st Battalion.
Over the next 4 months, McGehee attended 10 operations. In this time, he was awarded enlisted trooper of the month for creating an external artillery calculator which would prove the foundation for his future efforts in S3. Additionally, McGehee would be awarded the Army Commendation Medal with Valor for providing accurate artillery engagements while under fire in Operation White Lion.
On the 26th of September of 2017, Kyle McGehee would be chosen as the Honor Graduate of the Non Commissioned Officer Academy Leadership course, and would be promoted to Corporal 3 months later.
McGehee was once again awarded enlisted trooper of the month for January, 2018 for exceptional service to his section.

Ronnie "Coldblud" Bussey Lifetime Achievement Medal Citation
The Regimental Commander of the 7th Cavalry Regiment takes pleasure in presenting the Command Sergeant Major Cold Lifetime Achievement to Sergeant Kyle Mcgehee for his loyalty, dedication, exceptional meritorious and distinguished service, and above all a commitment to the ideals in which Command Sergeant Major Cold stood for, since 3 May 2017. Since enlisting in the 7th Cavalry Regiment, Sergeant Mcgehee has been an example to his peers, working tirelessly and selflessly for the betterment of the Regiment. Starting as a trooper in Charlie Company, First Battalion, Sergeant Mcgehee through self study increased his operational knowledge of the 11C MOS and become a Senior Instructor of the School of Infantry to teach others; dedicating his time to the needs of his students. As he continued to teach, he became the lead for S3 mod testing and public staff, as well as being promoted to the NCOIC of S3. In this capacity he lead his staff members and departments into a new era of training. The advances brought forward through his teachings allowed not only a more immersive experience for the regiment, but created a new support asset, the 12Bs known as Apollo. Sergeant Mcgehee wrote the SOPs and doctrines which allowed for higher fidelity in operations, as well as taking the strain off of mission controllers that before had to dedicate focus to keeping friendly assets moving. His achievements, dedication to progress, and desire to bring enjoyment to all members of the regiment allowed for the improvements of the scenarios that benefited members and non-members in both operations and MCC's. The distinctive accomplishments of Sergeant Kyle Mcgeehee reflect great credit upon himself, his staff, his company, and the 7th Cavalry Regiment as a whole.
