Purpose
The purpose of this SOP is to establish a clear and consistent set of branding guidelines for all content created by the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment's S5 Department. This ensures that all communications, both internal and external, reflect the regiment’s identity and values, maintaining a cohesive visual and narrative presence across all platforms.
Branding Guideline
All S5 members must adhere to the following branding guidelines when creating any form of content, including but not limited to graphics, videos, social media posts, and official documents. These guidelines are designed to maintain the integrity and consistency of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment brand.
Logo Usage
- Official Logos: Only official 7th Cavalry logos, provided by the S5 Department, are to be used in any content.
- Modifications: The logo must not be altered in any way, including changes in color, aspect ratio, or additional elements.
- Clear Space: Maintain a clear space around the logo equal to the height of the logo’s “C” to ensure visibility and impact.
- Backgrounds: Logos should be used on solid or neutral backgrounds to avoid visual clutter and maintain legibility.
Color Schemes
- Primary Colors
- Cavalry Yellow: #FFCC00
- Black: #000000
- Secondary Colors
- White: #FFFFFF
- Grey: #666666
- Usage: The primary colors should dominate all content, with secondary colors used for accents or when a more subdued palette is required.
Typography
- Primary Font: Arial Bold
- Secondary Font: Times New Roman Regular
- Headings: Use Arial Bold for all headings, with font size relative to the document or content being created.
- Body Text: Use Times New Roman Regular for all body text, ensuring readability and consistency.
Tone of Voice
- Professionalism: All written content should maintain a tone of professionalism and respect, reflecting the regiment’s values.
- Clarity: Ensure all communications are clear, concise, and free of jargon.
- Consistency: Maintain a consistent tone across all platforms, whether in social media posts, official documents, or public communications.
Visual Content Standards
- Imagery: All images used must be high quality (minimum 300dpi) and relevant to the 7th Cavalry’s identity.
- Graphic Sizes
- Social Media Banners: 1260x400 pixels
- Signatures: 700x200 pixels
- Profile Pictures: 400x400 pixels
- Thumbnails (Youtube): 1280x720 pixels
- Content: Avoid any content that includes profanity, offensive slogans, or any political or religious connotations.
Brand Messaging
- Core Message: The 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment is a community of honor, respect, and tactical excellence. All messaging should reinforce these core values.
- Tagline: “Duty, Honor, Respect” is the official tagline and should be used where appropriate.
- Mission Statement: Ensure the mission statement is visible in key communications, especially in public-facing content.
Review and Approval Process
- Initial Review: All content must be reviewed by the AO Lead or Department Lead before it is published or distributed.
- Final Approval: The S5 1IC or 2IC must provide final approval for any content that represents the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment on public platforms.
- Revisions: Any requested changes must be made promptly, with the content resubmitted for approval before release.
Non-Compliance and Consequences
- Violation of Branding Guidelines: Any deviation from the established branding guidelines without prior approval will result in corrective action, which may include a formal warning or removal from the S5 Department.
- Repeat Offenses: Multiple violations may lead to further disciplinary action, up to and including termination of membership within the S5 Department.
