Charlie Company, 1st Battalion is a military unit of the 7th Cavalry. It is administratively known as C/1-7, this abbreviation is used in MILPAC and avatars (among other things). It is formed of three (3) platoons, with four (4) sections in 1st platoon, four (4) sections in 2nd platoon, and one (1) section in 3rd platoon. 1st platoon and 2nd platoon operate in Arma 3 while 3rd platoon operates in Air Cav Vietnam.

Mission

Charlie Company, 1st Battalion is an infantry & support asset of the 7th Cavalry. The mission of Charlie Company is to close with and destroy the enemy as part of the all-arms battle. Charlie Company is designated Air Assault and Airborne or 'Light' infantry in 1st platoon and Mobile Engineering or Indirect Fire Support in 2nd platoon. They must often take with them everything necessary to accomplish their mission as they are often inserted into hostile areas with little or no vehicular support.

Charlie Company MOS

11B - Airborne Infantryman

As an infantryman within the Cavalry you are the backbone of our Combat forces. Charlie Company infantry are the tip of the spear, we are the elite. Often inserted behind enemy lines, we have the capability to deploy almost anywhere with little warning. When you choose to be a part of the Company, you will be trained to become the most versatile part of any fighting force under the guidance and instruction of some of the most experienced Officers and NCOs within the Regiment.

Your training begins with all the essential skills needed to function as a member of an infantry Fire Team and Squad. It continues with the basic infantry battle drills and how to perform common tasks for infantry, such as conducting attacks, reconnaissance, combat patrols, defending critical positions and acting as a quick reaction force. Your training culminates in your ability to conduct coordinated airborne landings and air assaults into enemy held territories to seize or conduct raids on key objectives.

11C - Indirect Fire Infantryman / Combat Engineer

"Everywhere, on time, on target" This is the motto of indirect fire infantrymen within Charlie Company. Your indirect fire support is able to both level the playing field, the battlefield and whatever else has stood in the way of our advance. Whether being airdropped in to provide mortar support for a Platoon operating behind enemy lines, or sending 155mm rounds down range as a crewman of an M109A6 Paladin, indirect fire support is essential to any successful Operation.

As an 11C you will also be trained as a Combat Engineer. Combat Engineers both pave the way for friendly forces and support them in the field. During offensive operations, combat engineers are relied on for their expertise at conducting obstacle breaches, clearing enemy fortifications, clearing routes through minefields and disabling IEDs. Our Combat Engineers support friendly assets through the construction of FARPs (Forward Arming / Refueling Points), FOBs (Forward Operating Bases), roadblocks and checkpoints. Combat Engineers also impede enemy efforts through the destruction of bridges and through setting minefields and obstacles of their own.
