B/ACD Console Server Administration

This document is a compendium of the rules of the Hell Let Loose Console B/ACD Server administration that are deeper in scope than the rules in 7CAV-R-026. Each rule will have specific definitions as well as an elaboration of its intent. By the end of this document, no question should remain as to what a rule means and how it applies to the administrator. Hell Let Loose Console members that hold the rank of Corporal are able to be granted administration privileges for the public server. Due to limitations of the RCON tool, there is also a minimum requirement to have a PC, as of now there is no Apple or phone access. These individuals hold a responsibility with these privileges to handle issues on the public servers. Regarding administration duties, it is an AO Commander’s responsibility to ensure their admins, in charge of enforcing Cav rules and regulations, are maintaining a steady presence on their servers as frontline administrators. It is the responsibility of the Military Police department to work with AO Commanders and verify this administration is done effectively, as well as ensure that issues are being handled. Privileges of server administration are given at the discretion of the AO commander. These privileges can be revoked for any reason as deemed appropriate to the AO at any time.

  3. No seeded server map changes
  4. No other changes or duties

Specific definitions of Hell Let Loose Console Server Administration The following numbered list of all rules are in accordance with the list of above. Each rule has a subsection explaining the intent of the rule.

1. Follow rules and procedures as laid out in 7CAV-R-026


  • 7CAV server administrators must adhere to rules and procedures as laid out in 7CAV-R-026.
Spirit of the rule - This document is meant to guide additionally due to specific needs of console administration and all general 7CAV rules regarding server administration must be adhered to otherwise.

2. Additional Console Training


  • Prior to being able to access server tools in an administration capacity, all console players must attend a brief console server training put on by our MP or company staff.
  • Console MP staff will maintain a list of those who have attended the course and those approved by the AO commander.
Spirit of the rule - The console server environment utilizes a tool not currently taught in the Server Administration Course (SAC). This additional training is designed to teach that tool and any other console specific rules that are not addressed in SAC.

3. No seeded server map changes


  • Server map changes should not be made once a server is seeded (20 V 20 or 40 total players).
  • Exceptions can be made during Operations in public settings or for another legitimate purpose deemed by S3 or Platoon and above staff.
Spirit of the rule - This rule is to limit abuse of map changes by server administrators for reasons other than a legitimate purpose of play.

4. No other changes or duties


  • Other than for the purpose outlined in 7CAV-R-026 or above, no other changes or access changes should be made by an administrator, including but not limited to Admin cam access, VIP access, etc.
Spirit of the rule - All server back end changes must be made by authorized persons only.
