I wanted to address a slight shift in our policy. As this has not been officially documented in our SOPs yet, this post will serve as SOP until that is accomplished.

The purpose of General Order 8 is to prevent someone from actively participating in another FPS/MILSIM at the same time you are in the Cav, not punish people for leaving the 7th. Unlike some other units or clans, membership here requires a certain amount of time and dedication, just showing up every now and then does not work here. We want our members to be loyal and happy here, but if a member is not happy, and all efforts to resolve their issue have failed, they should find a place where they will be happy.

In the past if a trooper had enlisted or joined another FPS/MILSIM group/unit before their discharged was processed, it was considered a violation of General Order 8, punishment for which is a Dishonorable Discharge. The way this has been handled in the past is not really as the rule was intended. As such the following is how the 7th Cavalry will handle this going forward.

From this point forward, once a trooper has submitted their PAF for discharge they are clear to join any other organization without having to worry about repercussions here. If it takes the Cav a day or 2 to process the PAF that is on us. Also, as long as a PAF has been submitted within 7 days of joining another unit, they will avoid a Dishonorable Discharge.

If anyone has any questions or concerns about this policy shift. Please send me a PM.
