Introduction
The Special Projects Division (SPD) is an arm of the Office of the Chief of Staff responsible for administrating, tracking, and managing all the departments and games that fall under the Office’s purview. Specifically, SPD focuses on supporting the Aide to the Chief of Staff in promoting the growth and health of the current and new games the 7th Cavalry offers, as well as supplying information and metrics that the Office of the Chief of Staff may require. The Special Projects Division offers fluidity that allows it to shift along with Regimental priorities as the 7th Cavalry continues to grow and new challenges arise.
Mission
The mission of the Special Projects Division is to offer the highest quality assistance to not only the Office of the Chief of Staff, but also the various Battalions within the Regiment down to the rank and file within the section level of the 7th Cavalry. SPD Coordinators are required to be reliable, unbiased, and self-motivating in order to accomplish various tasks in order to maintain the professionalism and timeliness required of being a member of the Office of the Chief of Staff.
Chain of Command
The Special Projects Division is led by the Aide to the Chief of Staff and is composed of SPD Coordinators who may perform similar or different functions to fulfill the mission(s) of the Division which are issued by the Office of the Chief of Staff. SPD Coordinators are Warrant Officers up to the commissioned rank of Major based on the needs of the Office.
