With regards to administrative access assignment across all games and Teamspeak 3, this document will serve to supersede all previous memorandum covering the subject. It serves to provide guidance on when and how this access is to be assigned, and to whom. Deviation from this guidance requires authorization from the Regimental Commanding Officer.

Levels of Access

The following levels of access will be used as permission sets for all games and Battlemetrics. You can only exist in one of the primary levels, however you can have any/all of the secondary levels as indicated.

Super Admin

  • General Staff
  • IMO HQ Staff
  • S6 Staff

Admin

  • Battalion Staff, regardless of grade
  • Officer grades O-1 (2nd Lieutenant) and above
  • Non-commissioned grades E-7/W-4 (Sergeant First Class / Chief Warrant Officer 4) and above
  • Personnel billeted in RTC/MP (Includes MPIT), regardless of grade
  • Personnel billeted in S3 Staff/HQ, minimum grade of E-4 (Corporal)
  • Personnel billeted in Starter Platoon, minimum grade of E-4 (Corporal)
  • Personnel billeted in S7 Staff, minimum grade of E-4 (Corporal)

Operator

  • Non-commissioned grades E-5 (Sergeant) and above
  • Warrant Officer grades W-2 (Chief Warrant Officer 2) and above
  • Company Leads, regardless of grade
  • Platoon Leads, regardless of grade
  • Squad Leads, regardless of grade

Analyst (Secondary)

  • Personnel billeted in S2, regardless of grade
  • Personnel billeted in SPD, regardless of grade
  • Personnel billeted in COS, regardless of grade
  • Personnel billeted in ROO, regardless of grade
  • Personnel billeted in JAG, regardless of grade

S6 Game Clerk (Secondary)

  • Personnel billeted as S6 Game Clerk, regardless of grade.
  • Personnel billeted as S6 Developer (when applicable to their duties)

Levels of Access - TeamSpeak 3

The following levels of access will be used as permission sets for TeamSpeak. You can only exist in one of the primary levels.

Server Admin

  • General Staff
  • IMO HQ Staff

Operator

  • Officer grades O-1 (2nd Lieutenant) and above
  • Warrant Officer grades W-2 (Chief Warrant Officer 2) and above
  • Non-commissioned grades E-5 (Sergeant) and above
  • Company Leads, regardless of grade
  • Platoon Leads, regardless of grade
  • Squad Leads, E-5 (Sergeant) and above - With special exceptions (See below for further guidance)

Assignment of Admin Access

In order to qualify for administrative privileges on the game servers, you must have completed the Server Admin Course that is run by the MP Department. To request admin access, go to the Ticket system and open a ticket with S6 under the Topic: Admin Access. Request one of the following for your game:

  • Super Admin
  • Admin
  • (Game) Operator
  • Analyst (Secondary)
  • S6 Game Clerk (Secondary)

Operator/Super Admin Access on TeamSpeak is given automatically primarily based on rank and role. All Squad Leaders are eligible for Operator access, however, only Squad Leaders who hold the minimum grade of E-5 (Sergeant) will automatically receive this permission.

Special Exceptions for Squad Leaders

If a Squad Leader falls below the minimum rank of E-5 (Sergeant), then the respective Company Staff will need to open an S6 Ticket and will need to be indicated on a tracker and a link to said tracker to confirm Company Staff are monitoring assignment of operators for TeamSpeak.

  • Access to all admin functions and commands

Operator

  • Ability to move users across channels
  • Ability to edit avatar / description on own user
  • Ability to join channels that are locked (Unless specifically restricted by Server Admins)


Battlemetrics

Battlemetrics is our Remote Console (RCON) that allows 7th Cavalry Personnel to administrate our servers without the need to login via the game. Battlemetrics RCON is our main tool in managing our servers for MP and Staff who have the need for specialized access. All Assignments of Roles on Battlemetrics is managed by S6 Staff.

Super Admin

  • Full Battlemetrics access.
  • Reserved for Generals, IMO HQ and S6 HQ Staff.

  • View Bans

  • Temporary Ban
  • Kick

(ARMA) Operator

In-Game Admin

In-game admin is the ability to use commands via console or chat in-game. Access to In-game admin it maintained by S6 Staff, and is not provided unless specifically asked for.

Arma 3

Arma 3 In-game admin is provided by 1st Battalion Chain of Command and passed down to those who meet requirements. This is a password that you type while logged into our servers, and maybe different depending on the type of server.

Additionally, A special access which is in the form of Zeus (Curator) or known as Mission Controller Slots on Tact 2 is appropriated by a special script that is run with our public server, This list is maintained by S6 staff at the behest of S3 Department and 1st Battalion Staff.

ARMA 3 Zeus Access

  • Allows Zeus to place AI/Fortifications/Vehicles/Equipment etc. to modify the mission or create an additional mission
  • Allows MP's to use Zeus as a Admin Camera

Squad (In-game Console)

Squad In-Game Console access is maintained by the S6 Department and is a special configuration per each game server. In-Game admin gives you the ability to use console commands as provided by Squad as a option to help administrate the servers without the need to use battlemetrics. For information on what commands are available see: [1]

  • Allows user to spawn in vehicles and items according to in-game 'cheat' commands
  • In-Game Admins are able to utilize reserve slots (if set) as a means to gain access to full servers.
  • Allows the use of Admin cam in-game with the console commands.
