Section 1: Overview

Purpose This regulation prescribes the guidelines and processes for enlistment or re-enlistment of troopers from the 7th Cavalry Regiment(7CAV). It provides principles support, standards of service, policies, tasks, rules, steps and classifications governing all work required in the field to support the process of enlisting or re-enlisting a trooper into the Regiment.

Responsibilities

  1. The Regimental Command Staff (Regimental Commander and Executive Officer) will serve as the senior official on matters concerning discharges and retirements, and will provide supervision of discharge policy formulation, procedures, goals, system and standards.
  2. The Regimental Chief of Staff (COS) will be responsible for the implementation of this regulation within the Regiment. Furthermore, COS will supervise enlistment and re-enlistment functions prescribed in this regulation and serve as the final promotion authority for all combat units and departments.

Section 2: Principles and Standards

2-1 Principles of Support The 7CAV Command Staff will provide a centralized process for the enlistment or re-enlistment of all members of the 7th Cavalry Regiment.

This regulations will define:

  1. The procedures involved with the enlistment of a new trooper, and re-enlistment of troopers into the Regiment.
  2. The requirements and standards for enlistments, and re-enlistments.

2-2 Standards of Service The Standards of Service are as follows:

  1. Only following billets are authorized to approve new Enlistments :
    1. The primary approval authority will be Regimental Recruiting OIC or Executive Officer or NCOIC
    2. Recruit Training Command Commander or Executive Officer will assist as needed
    3. Any General Grade Officer on their prerogative
  2. Only the following billets are authorized to approve Re-Enlistments
    1. Regimental Recruiting OIC or Executive Officer
    2. Any General Grade Officer
  3. In the instance where an enlistment or re-enlistment is in dispute and final determination will be made by the General of the Army.

Section 3: Policy

3-1 The Enlistment Process
3-1.1 The enlistment process begins once a trooper has completed the enlistment application.
3-1.2 The approval authority responds to the enlistment application per established procedure, ensuring the enlistee meets the following minimum requirements:

Minimum Requirements for Enlistment in the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment

  1. Minimum age is 18, not debatable, no exceptions
  2. You must have a microphone and speak fluent English
  3. Must have Discord
    • and TeamSpeak 3 if you play Arma3
  4. Must have one of the following games to join:
    • Arma 3 WITH Apex DLC
    • Hell Let Loose
    • Hell Let Loose (Console)
    • DCS World
    • Squad
    • Microsoft Flight Simulator
  5. Must be willing to play in a Military and Tactical Realism Unit
  6. Must be willing to take orders and follow the chain of command
  7. Once you complete Boot Camp you will be assigned to a Section/Squad and you must practice with that group. If you cannot attend the practice of your assigned Section/Squad due to work or some other real life event, you must be excused by your Section/Squad Leader. Options for making up the practice can be discussed with your Section/Squad Leader and Platoon Chain of Command.
  8. Must be active on the forum 1 time a week. Your Section/Squad Leader will make a roll call post once a week, you must respond to this post in the required manner.
  9. Must not be a member of another FPS Clan/Unit. Dual Clanning is prohibited.
  10. Must not have a VAC or Game Ban on record for any reason within the last 5 years.

NOTE: Minimum requirements 'issues' must be resolved within 10 days of enlistment or the enlistee will be DISCHARGED.

3-2 The Re-Enlistment Process
3-2.1 Re-enlistment occurs when a currently discharged or retired member requests to return to active status in the Regiment. The process begins when the re-enlistee completes and submits the enlistment application marked as re-enlistment
3-2.2 Once the re-enlistment application is received the approving authority must review MILPACS to ensure the re-enlistee meets the following criteria.

  1. Anyone having received an Less than Honorable - Eligible for Re-enlistment, General, Honorable Discharge or Retirement is eligible to re-enlist.
  2. Trooper must have no more than 2 Discharges within a 3 year period. If a trooper has received 3 Discharges within the same 2 year period, they will not be eligible for re-enlistment.
  3. Any trooper receiving an AWOL or Less than Honorable - Eligible for Re-enlistment discharge must be interviewed by the approval authority to ensure that the re-enlistee is aware of the requirements and is able to meet them.
  4. Any trooper that has received a Less than Honorable Discharge - Not Eligible for Re-enlistment or Dishonorable Discharge will not be eligible for re-enlistment and must appeal their discharge classification by contacting the Regimental Chief of Staff directly.

3-2.3 Appeals - If a trooper is ineligible for re-enlistment they must attempt to have their last discharge classification changed to one that would allow for re-enlistment per the process found here.

3.2.4 Secondary Billets - Troopers who re-enlist will not be eligible for any leadership position, or secondary billet for a period of 90 days following re-enlistment.

The General Staff reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy when deemed in the best interest of the 7th Cavalry Regiment as a whole. Such an exception requires the unanimous decision of the General Staff.
