Introduction and Policy
All transfers shall be performed in accordance with (IAW) 7CAV-R-037 Trooper Transfers. This policy provides amplifying direction for the 1st Battalion.
Types of Transfers
Transfers can include inter-platoon and inter-company, or "other" defined as leaving a Company.
Inter-Platoon and Inter-Company
Transfers within a Company can be handled internally. Please use a forum personal message to initiate the transfer:
1. Trooper creates a PM with the their immediate CoC (please make sure that any participant is able to add other members to this conversation). The trooper then needs to fill out the following template (it contains all necessary information):
|
Trooper's Name: Reason for Transfer: Requested Section/Platoon: |
2. The recipient of the original PM adds all pertinent levels of their CoC. This continues until the lowest joint authority has been added. Also, both the sending and the receiving party need to be part of that PM.
3. The lowest joint authority approves and posts the transfer.
Other Transfers
Per 7CAV-R-037 Trooper Transfers, for all other types of transfers going outside of a company/starter platoon/reserves, including:
- To any Headquarters
- To A/B/C 1–7, or A/C 2-7
- To the Reserve
- To a Starter Platoon
All of these tranfers will be performed via the Personnel Action Form (PAF). The link is found here.
The appropriate members of the CoC will approve and post the transfer.
1-7 "Grace" Period
New transfers from the RTC and/or other areas of the 7th Cavalry Regiment who transfer to 1-7 in any line billet will be given a 1-week grace period where they are exempt from Section Practice's and signing Roll Call's to allot time for S1 to process their transfer into their new billet. Any new trooper encouraged to attend their billeted Section Practice during that grace period but are not required to do so. At the conclusion of the 1-week grace period, troopers are expected to be fully integrated into their assigned section and will be held to standard participation requirements, including regular attendance of Section Practices and Roll Call compliance.
- This apply for trooper coming from
- RTC (Recruit Training Command)
- ELOA (Extended Leave of Absence)
