SP Time Change Policy

The changing of a Section Practice time can be requested by the respective Section Leader through platoon staff and requires company approval. A SP time change may only be requested with valid reasoning for the time change. SP time change requests without valid justification will be denied.

In order to change the SP time, the following steps need to be taken:

  • The Section Leader needs to speak to every trooper of the section about the new SP time if the trooper is able to make the new time.
  • At least 60% of the troopers need to agree on switching the SP time before a time change request can be submitted through platoon staff to company HQ.
  • If a trooper is unable to make the new time, section and platoon staff need to work with the trooper in question to find a new fitting SP time for the trooper and request or process the respective transfer.
  • Before an SP time change can be approved, all troopers of the respective section must either agree on the suggested SP time or have been transferred to a different section.

An SP time change only takes effect after company staff approval.

Section Opening & Closing Policy

The right to open or close sections remains with company staff. Platoon staff may request the opening or closing of a section through forum PM to company HQ. On a case by case basis the opening or closing of a section may be delegated to platoon staff.

The process to open or close a section is as following:

  • Platoon staff submits an opening / closing request for the respective section to company HQ.
  • Company gives the approval to initiate the process of opening or closing the requested section.
    • For standing up a new section there needs to be an SL selected, the SP time included in the initial submission to company HQ, and a minimum of 5 troopers need to transfer into the new section
    • For closing a section, all current troopers need to have found a fitting SP time for their schedule and will be transferred to their chosen section upon closing.

SL and ASL Appointment Policy

By standing order of C/ACD Commanding Officer, the appointment of new Section Leader and Assistant Section Leaders is delegated to platoon leaders. Company staff reserves the right to review and veto.

Position openings for Assistant Section Leader shall be posted in the respective Position Opening area on the forums with at least 5 days application period. The opening needs to include at least the minimum requirement for applicants, the MOS and the contacts to address the letter of interest to.

If a Section Leader position becomes open and the respective section has a current serving Assistant Section Leader, platoon staff may offer the position of Section Leader to the currently serving ASL without an additional position opening.

The following application process shall be upheld for position openings:

  • Trooper submit their Letter of interest within the application period to the respective staff
  • Staff schedules interviews with every trooper who has submitted a letter of interest
  • After interviews are concluded, the appointing staff shall contact every applicant and inform them of their decision. Applicants who did not get picked for a position shall get informed before announcing a new section staff assignment.
  • Before posting the respective assignment, platoon staff has to send a forum PM to company staff informing them of all applicants and their choice who to appoint for the position. Only if 48 hours pass or company staff signs off on the appointment, platoon staff may post the assignment.
