=Introduction=
=Objective=
Once a trooper has already been assigned to a line billet and gets discharged by S2, there should be a notification made to the trooper's CoC.This is done to avoid the trooper’s CoC not being aware of the trooper's discharge and to provide explanation as to why the trooper has been discharged by S2.

Objective

To define the standard procedure for notifying a recruit's Chain of Command (CoC) when S2 has determined that a discharge recommendation is appropriate, whether due to non-response or other reasons discovered during investigation.

1. Pre-Discharge Communication (Before Posting)

When to Use

  • S2 has determined that a discharge recommendation is likely (e.g., due to lack of communication, failure to meet standards, confirmed dual clanning, etc.).

Procedure

  • A PM is sent to the recruit’s Chain of Command ( SL, PL ) only before the discharge post has been made.
  • The PM may only be sent by a Lead Investigator, 2IC, or 1IC.
  • The message should:
    • State that the recruit is being discharged.
    • Request that the CoC make a final attempt to contact the recruit or provide any additional input.
  • This step is not optional and must be completed for all S2-based discharges.
  • The PM and timestamp should be recorded in the investigation folder.

2. Discharge Post and Documentation

When to Use

  • After S2 HQ approves the discharge, the final decision has been made.

Procedure

  • The discharge is posted in the appropriate forum section.
  • The investigation folder is updated with:
    • Final decision and summary
    • Link to the discharge post
    • All communication records

3. Discharge Post

When an S2 Discharge post is made, the submitter must tag the trooper's CoC:

  • Squad Leader (SL)
  • Platoon Sergeant (PSG)
  • Platoon Leader (PL)
  • First Sergeant (1SGT)
  • Company Commander (CO)

4. Past Member's Note

When a Past Member Note is posted, the submitter must tag the troopers:

  • Platoon Leader (PL)
  • Company Commander (CO)
  • Battalion Commander (CO)
