Reporting Units

S3 Operations is a Support Department of the Regimental Headquarters. The S3 Department consists of all Operations functions in the 7th Cavalry Regiment. The Branch provides expert advice to the Commander on all matters pertaining to the execution and control of the Regiment in battle. It provides administrative tasking, orders production, training, mission creation and testing, and modpack development sub-staffs. The Branch is led by the S3 OIC, the principal staff officer of the headquarters, second only to the Headquarters Commander, the Chief of Staff. The Second-In-Command of the Branch is the S3 XO. The Branch's NCO adviser is the S3 Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge or S3 NCO. S3 Operations is responsible for mission and orders production for operations, as well as, the maintenance of our in-house mods, and the collation of our public and private modpacks.

Mission

The S3 Department will provide timely expert advice to the Regimental Commander and deliver operational excellence in the form of Operational Command and Control. S3 will act as the Commander's primary force for the execution of their intent, working to support the maneuver of units through high-quality products.

S3 Overview

S3 Operations

S3 Operations provides expert mission creation, mission control, and product production in support of the 1st (Combined Arms) Battalion, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Battalion, and Auxiliary Combat Detachment. The S3 Shop is subdivided into S3 ARMA, S3 HLL, DCS, and ACD, and is supported by individual game Operations Staff.

Structure is determined by what is needed to best fulfill the mission of supporting the game and AO leadership. Some games may only require operations staff while others may require public staff, development, and scripting support.

ARMA

ARMA is supported by S3 ARMA Staff. The department is subdivided into Operations, Public Staff, and Development. Operations provides creation and execution of content for the members of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment. Public Staff operate events and populate 7th Cav Public Servers. Development provides mod and server support for all the servers.

Hell Let Loose PC

Hell Let Loose PC is supported by the S3 HLL Staff. The department is subdivided into two groups. S3 HLL Operations and S3 HLL Public Staff. Operations Staff provides development of content for the members of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment. Public Staff operate events and populate 7th Cav Public Servers.

Digital Combat Simulator (DCS)

DCS is supported by S3 DCS Staff to provide development of content for the members of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment and public players.

Squad

Squad is supported by S3 Squad Staff. The department is divided into two groups: S3 Squad Operations and S3 Squad Public Staff, each commanded by the AO Lead. Operations Staff provides development of content for the members of the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment. Public Staff operate events and populate 7th Cav Public Servers.

Auxiliary Combat Detachment

ACD S3 Staff supports games requiring operational support. The department is subdivided into individual games to support the leadership of those games. In addition, the sub-divisions may require splitting of responsibilities based on the needs, growth, and complexity of the game in which they support.

Starter Platoon

Starter Platoon staff support games in development for the regiment. The department is subdivided into individual games, and each team is led by its respective DEVCOM Lead within the AO.
