Regimental Chief of Staff – Governance of the Battalions, Officer Corps, and Doctrine
Daily
- Take Care of Troopers - When on Discord or Teamspeak be available for your troopers. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over Discord, Teamspeak, or the forums.
- Make an effort to meet with members of General Staff to build a rapport and ensure a positive working relationship with them.
- Spend time with troopers and leadership within the Regiment.
- Run the day-to-day operations of the Regiment. Engage in activities of oversight on the following:
- Battalions: Ensure they adhere to Regimental SOP / Policy and are working to the intent of the Regimental Commanding Officer.
- Departments: Ensure they adhere to Regimental SOP / Policy, and are working to the intent of the Regimental Commanding Officer.
- Officer Corps: Oversee and delegate the training of new officers, the officer corps, and Officer Development School.
- Office of the Chief of Staff: Oversee aides, the Special Projects Division, and Starter Platoon(s).
- Administrative tasks - Ensure proposals, recommendation approvals, appointments, and the business of the General Staff are completed in a timely manner.
- Oversee and delegate medal recommendation reviews and approvals.
- Promotions - Follow Regimental SOP in regards to promotion recommendations. Perform spot checks to ensure no one who meets promotion requirements has been overlooked.
- Promotions to Second Lieutenant – after a candidate completes ODS or is waived by General Staff.
- Veto of appointments to be made by subordinates under special circumstances by Private Message and in writing prior to changing a post.
- Counselling - Issue appropriate counselling measures as required to ensure understanding and compliance with all rules, regulations and minimum expectations.
- Ensure information is passed up and down the Chain of Command in a timely manner and that due respect and opportunity is given to those within the Chain to execute their responsibilities.
- Provide counsel and advice to the Regimental CO as required.
Weekly
- Follow up - Follow up with Battalion Staff, coach and counsel as required. Work with Battalion Staff to resolve any issues that arise during the week.
Monthly
- Policy - Work with General Staff to set policy for the entire Regiment as required.
- Accountability - Ensure you are attending at least one Section Practice / Operation / Class / or Special Event per month within the Cav.
- Leadership Development - Spend time with different Battalion Staff and Department HQ's on a monthly basis, ensuring they understand our vision and their part in it. Mentor them as required.
- Any special projects by definition of the General Staff or on own initiative.
- Review the progress of new game development (Special Projects Division).
- Chair the Command Staff Call meetings, and attend any Regimental Meetings. Chair Regimental Meetings in the absence of both the CO and the XO.
- Coach and mentor all Officers and Senior NCOs in the Regiment by means of a regular 1:1 meeting.
- Delegate all tasks not accomplish-able within the time-frames required or a regular basis to the Aide to the Chief of Staff or appropriate designate.
Annually
- Recommend Troopers, NCOs and Officers for Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Regimental Recruiting Oversight Officer – Governance of Recruitment, Indoctrination, and Public Affairs
Daily
- Take Care of Troopers - When on Discord or Teamspeak be available for your troopers. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over Discord, Teamspeak, or the forums.
- Make an effort to meet with members of General Staff to build a rapport and ensure a positive working relationship with them.
- Spend time with troopers and leadership within the Regiment.
- Engage in activities of oversight on the following:
- Recruitment Oversight Office
- S5 Department
- Regimental Recruiting Department (RRD)
- Recruit Training Command (RTC)
- Administrative tasks - Ensure recommendation approvals and appointments are completed in a timely manner for:
- RTC Graduation postings including Honor Graduate
- RRD Staff appointments
- RTC Staff appointments
- Veto of appointments to be made by subordinates under special circumstances by Private Message and in writing prior to changing a post.
- Statutory awards to be recommended by subordinates within their scope of authority.
- Counselling - Issue appropriate counselling measures as required to ensure understanding and compliance with all rules, regulations and minimum expectations.
- Ensure information is passed up and down the Chain of Command in a timely manner and that due respect and opportunity is given to those within the Chain to execute their responsibilities.
- Provide counsel and advice to the Regimental CO as required.
- Recruitment Oversight Office
Weekly
- Conduct a review of open enlistment, re-enlistment applications, as well as recruit folders to check for staleness no later than 0700 Mondays.
Monthly
- Policy - Work with General Staff to set policy for the entire Regiment as required.
- Attend the Command Staff Call meetings, and attend any Regimental Meetings.
- Review ROO department effectiveness with Departmental HQ, and coach and counsel as necessary
Annually
- Recommend Troopers, NCOs and Officers for Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Regimental Adjutant General – Governance of Administration
Daily
- Take Care of Troopers - When on Discord or Teamspeak be available for your troopers. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over Discord, Teamspeak, or the forums.
- Make an effort to meet with members of General Staff to build a rapport and ensure a positive working relationship with them.
- Spend time with troopers and leadership within the Regiment.
- Engage in activities of oversight on the following:
- S1
- S3
- Any other departmental oversight as assigned by the CoS or Regimental HQ
- Veto of appointments to be made by subordinates under special circumstances by Private Message and in writing prior to changing a post.
- Statutory awards to be recommended by subordinates within their scope of authority.
- Counselling - Issue appropriate counselling measures as required to ensure understanding and compliance with all rules, regulations and minimum expectations.
- Ensure information is passed up and down the Chain of Command in a timely manner and that due respect and opportunity is given to those within the Chain to execute their responsibilities.
- Provide counsel and advice to the Regimental CO as required.
- Assist the Regimental Chief of Staff in their duties as required.
Weekly
- PAF Review - Ensure Personnel Action Forms are seen and completed by all staff in a timely manner. Review and grant approvals as applicable.
- Medal Recommendation Reviews - Oversee and delegate medal recommendation reviews and approvals.
- Report Follow up - Follow up with Battalion Staff weekly reports, coach and counsel as required to ensure all Staff turn them in on time. Work with Battalion Staff to resolve any issues that arise during the week. Ensure Counseling Statements and other documents are being processed as required.
Monthly

Regimental Command Sergeant Major - Governance of Training, Development, and the Non-Commissioned Officer Corps
Daily
- Take Care of Troopers - When on Discord or Teamspeak be available for your troopers. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over Discord, Teamspeak, or the forums.
- Approve and appoint the promotion proposals of Battalion Sergeant Major.
- Work alongside and support the Battalion Sergeant Major’s to ensure all companies are running effectively.
- Pass information both up and down the chain of command in an accurate and timely manner as required.
- Counseling - Issue appropriate counselling measures as required to ensure understanding and compliance with all rules, regulations and minimum expectations.
Weekly
- Attend at least one Section Practice, Operation or Official meeting across any of the Official games supported by the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment.
- Report Follow up - Follow up with Battalion Staff weekly reports, coach and counsel as required to ensure all Staff turn them in on time. Work with Battalion Staff to resolve any issues that arise during the week. Ensure Counseling Statements and other documents are being processed as required.
Monthly
- Leadership Development - Spend time with a Battalion Sergeant Major and a Company First Sergeant on a monthly basis and ensure they understand our vision and their part in it. Support them as required.
- Required to attend the Command Staff Call and Quarterly Regimental Meeting.
- Attend 1 FTX and 1 Operation for any Area of Operations of the Official games supported by the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment within 1 month.
Non Commissioned Officer Academy & S7 Oversight
- The Command Sergeant Major should be available to instruct both phases of the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy syllabus when it is hosted.
- The Command Sergeant Major is the Non-Commissioned Officer-in-Charge of the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy.
- The Command Sergeant Major is the General Staff overseer of the S7 Training Department.
The Command Sergeant Major will report directly to the Regimental CO.
