===Multi-Role Rotary-Wing===
| colspan="6"|Rotary Wing Aviators serve as the primary aerial maneuver and support element for the Regiment. Rotary aviation provides the mobility, firepower, reconnaissance, and logistical reach that directly enables ground forces to fight, move, and win. Rotary Wing Aviators must master the fundamentals of rotor-wing flight. As a 153A you will receive specialized training including emergency procedures, advanced flight planning, air assault procedures, ground and air escort operations, IFR navigation, 5-line procedures, and air-to-ground engagements. Completion of your training earns you the coveted flight wings and welcomes you to the honored lineage of pilots past, present, and future.

The Warrant Officer ranks within the unit are the symbol of Aviation. The symbol of one's winged pilot status. Those that hold the Warrant Officer rank are now the go-to when someone needs an aviator. When ground troops need transport to a raid as rotary or a FAC needs a city block leveled in fixed-wing, Warrant Officers are now the face they see. It is their job to ensure they have the skills to accomplish this task. This is one's primary duty.

Alpha Company serves as the premier Aviation and combat support unit within the 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, a Tactical Realism Unit that strives to provide an environment of professionalism, training, loyalty, pride, commitment, and fun to all its members. We seek individuals who desire to become a member of our team of the highest qualified aviators, crew, air controllers, indirect fire infantrymen, combat engineers, and combat medics. Administratively known as A/1-7; this abbreviation is used in MILPAC and avatars (among other things). Alpha Company comprises two platoons: First Platoon is home to several multi-role rotary sections as well as its forward air controllers, while Second Platoon hosts the battalion's support sections, the engineers and medics.

Mission

Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, is the air, indirect fire, and combat support asset of the 7th Cavalry. The mission of Alpha Company is to find, fix, and destroy the enemy through fire and maneuver; and to provide combat support in coordinated operations as an integral member of the combined arms team. Alpha Company can accomplish each of these roles, within the limits of finite assets and capabilities during offensive or defensive operations and also for joint, combined, contingency, or special operations.

Military Occupational Specialties

Alpha Company currently employs five different Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) across the fields of aviation, medical support, combat engineering, and sustainment.

153A - Rotary Wing Aviator Warrant Officer

Army Aviator Badge Senior Aviator Badge Master Aviator Badge
Rotary Wing Aviators serve as the primary aerial maneuver and support element for the Regiment.
Warrant Officers S7 AGCS Training
WO1 CW2 CW3 CW4 CW5

The Warrant Officer ranks within the unit are the symbol of Aviation. The symbol of one's winged pilot status. Those that hold the Warrant Officer rank are now the go-to when someone needs an aviator. When ground troops need transport to a raid as rotary or a FAC needs a city block leveled in fixed-wing, Warrant Officers are now the face they see. It is their job to ensure they have the skills to accomplish this task. This is one's primary duty. Senior Warrant Officers' further responsibilities are to aid in the training of new aviators. To aid in their endeavors of becoming a Warrant Officer. Just as others gave you their aid in your training.

All of this milsim training and instruction is made possible by the dedicated men and women of our S7 Department. We have many talented instructors that devote their time and energy to these milsim classes making the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment one of the premier milsim gaming groups in the world!

As an Aviation Trainee, you will be trained to a superior standard higher than regular forces, establishing and building upon your experience and expertise. You will be cross-trained in the craft of flight planning, advanced formation, all facets of communication, and all the roles of each airframe under your command!

15T - Enlisted Rotary Crewman

Army Aircrew Badge Senior Aircrew Badge Master Aircrew Badge
The Enlisted Rotary Crewman serves as the backbone of the Regiment's rotary-wing operations. You ensure every flight is safe, efficient, and tactically effective while working hand-in-hand with pilots to execute missions. Operating as a door gunner and crew chief, you provide critical functions including aircraft maintenance, navigation, weapons employment, communication, and cargo load management, making you indispensable in both combat and support operations. You will receive specialized training in in-flight procedures, crew coordination, emergency operations, door and weapon systems, and troop and cargo handling, allowing pilots to focus on flight while ensuring passengers, cargo, and fire support are delivered safely and effectively.

13F - Fire Support Specialist

Forward Air Controller Badge Master Forward Air Controller Badge
Fire Support Specialists serve as the Regiment's link between ground maneuver elements and supporting fires. As a Forward Air Controller, you are responsible for coordinating and directing close air support, indirect fires, and aerial reconnaissance to shape the battlefield and enable friendly forces to dominate the fight. FACs operate at the front line, providing precision strike coordination and situational awareness. A 13F must master fire mission procedures, target designation, map reconnaissance, and communication. You will receive specialized training in 5-line and 9-line CAS procedures and will work jointly with ground and rotary-wing assets to deliver accurate, safe, and decisive firepower when and where it's needed.

12B - Combat Engineer

Basic EOD Badge Senior EOD Badge Master EOD Badge
Within 1-7 we combine both Combat and General Engineering branches under Combat Engineers. Combat engineering is the engineering capabilities and activities that directly support the maneuver of land combat forces that require close and integrated support. General engineering are those engineering capabilities and activities, other than combat engineering, that provide infrastructure and modify, maintain, or protect the physical environment.

Operationally, the tasks most frequently performed include: Conducting deliberate and hasty demolition of obstacles Providing maintenance (RAF; Repair, Ammo, Fuel) to friendly vehicles Establishing Forward Arming and Refueling Points (FARP) and Forward Operating Bases (FOB) Constructing defensive fortifications Setting up roadblocks and performing limited defensive operations Conducting forward resupply to friendly forces Coordinating with both Air and Ground assets around supply lines.

68W - Combat Medic

Expert Field Medical Badge Combat Medical Badge
68W Combat Medics are the Military Occupational Specialty assigned to provide lifesaving care throughout the spectrum of conflict, including during war, down to the Platoon level. Combat Medics are trained in all levels of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), including the roles of Combat Lifesaver, Platoon Medic, and any other advanced medical role that may be required to fulfill their tasks. Medics are sent to support all Combined Arms Battalion Companies in a variety of circumstances.

Order of Battle

The Company consists of one multi-role rotary-wing aviation platoon and one mixed support platoon in addition to a headquarters section.
