Regimental Chief of Staff

Introduction

The document presented here will cover the topic of game servers hosted by non-S6/Regiment recognized personnel. The purpose of this SOP is to clarify, define, and set in stone the Regimental Policy and stance on servers hosted by non-IMO/S6/Regimental Staff recognized personnel.

Server Hosting

Servers for an officially supported area of operations may only be hosted with Regimental Support/Structure: I.E., S6. Dedicated servers hosted for a non-official game (For example, "Project Zomboid") are allowed to be hosted by personnel outside of IMO/Regiment, on condition that they are not named for or directly affiliated with the 7th Cavalry.

Official Events on non-7th Cavalry Servers

Official events, such as Section Practices or Operations, are not to be hosted on servers not approved by Regimental Staff.
Games where the servers are hosted exclusively by the developer, such as Escape from Tarkov, are able to have official events run on them. For clarity, sanctioned official events, such as Operations hosted by other units, may be hosted on another units' server - but events hosted by 7Cav personnel on non-sanctioned servers is prohibited.
