As Platoon Staff, you're expected to issue the appropriate paperwork/discipline for accountability issues within your Platoon and not delegate this task to Section Staff.

Role of Platoon Staff

The role of the Platoon Staff is to execute the vision of the Company Staff respective to the Military Occupation Specialities assigned within the Platoon. Platoon Staff is comprised of the following:

  • Platoon Leader
  • Platoon Sergeant

Responsibilities

The following is a list of basic responsibilities. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, merely the base from which to start. Refer to the Platoon Staff ICS in the Company or Battalion SOPs for a more complete list of duties and responsibilities.

  • Responsible for the ongoing health and morale of the Platoon in all respects.
  • Be available to the troopers of the Platoon at all times when online.
  • Admin game servers as required.
  • Perform administrative duties associated with the Platoon, i.e. reports, discipline.
  • Train and directly supervise Squad Leaders
  • Other duties as required.

Platoon Leader Duties

Daily Duties

  • Take Care of Troopers - When on Discord or Teamspeak be available for your troopers. Be prompt when responding to requests for assistance over Discord, Teamspeak, or the forums.
  • Make an effort to meet with your Squad Leaders to build a rapport and ensure a positive working relationship with them.
  • Spend time with troopers and leadership within your Platoon.
  • Counseling - Issue appropriate counseling measures as required to ensure understanding and compliance with all rules, regulations and minimum expectations.
  • Ensure information is passed up and down the Chain of Command in a timely manner.

Weekly Duties

  • Accountability - Ensure you are attending one Squad / Section practice a week within the Company.
  • Roll Call - Ensure Squad roll calls are posted in the appropriate area of the forums no later than 0700HRS Zulu every Sunday.
  • Report - Work with your Platoon Staff to compile the weekly report so it is ready to be sent to Company Staff no later than 0700HRS Zulu every Wednesday.
  • Recruiting - Spend at least one hour per week on the public server.

Monthly Duties

  • Platoon Growth - Focus efforts on the growth of the Platoon. This can be through organizing and encouraging Platoon events on the public servers, as well as leading by example when it comes to playing and recruiting on the public servers.
