Role of the Trooper
A Trooper is the basic primary billet in the 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment and lowest link in the Chain of Command. It is any enlisted member that is part of a Section, and not the Section Staff. Troopers can retain their combat/primary billet whilst volunteering for most secondary billets. A Trooper will not be able to advance past the rank of Corporal unless a leadership billet is attained. Troopers are what make up the vast majority of all combat billets; they are the soldiers who train weekly to keep their skills honed, and act as the front-line fighting force of the Regiment.
Responsibilities
A trooper's duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Posting on the section roll call every week, as early as possible.
- Attending at least one section practice every week, minimum of one hour.
- Attend any mandatory meetings and practices set forth by the Platoon / Company / Battalion command.
- Adhere to the guidelines set forth by the section leader, and follow their instructions.
- Follow the chain of command to bring up any issues within the section.
