=Introduction=
The purpose of the Roles and Responsibilities is too provide guidance on the respective roles & responsibilities for the S1 Operations Sub department.

=Mission=
The S1 Operations Department is tasked with the various information process flows across the Regiment. The Operations department is the backbone for S1 information as it controls the tracking for statutory awards and promotions, keeps documentation on combat actions and awards resulting from campaigns.
Due to this, it is essential that the department complete their duties in a timely and accurate manner as misinformation could lead to missed promotions or wrongfully filed MILPACS records.

=Chain of Command=
The S1 Branch is divided into three levels of command. The overall Branch is led by the S1, S1 Executive Officer, and the S1 Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge. Each Sub-Branch Cell has an assigned Lead, and each Area of Operations (AO) also has a Lead. Clerks work for an AO Lead, who is responsible to each Sub-Branch Cell Lead.
