		The practice of naming armored vehicles is a long-standing tradition within armor and cavalry units across the globe, particularly in the United States Army. These names often reflect unit pride, historical references, humor, personal significance, or thematic cohesion within a platoon or company.
		Vehicle names serve not only as a morale booster but also as a point of tactical clarity and unit cohesion. On the battlefield and in training, the ability to refer to a vehicle by name enhances communication and builds esprit de corps among crew members who come to see their vehicle as both a weapon system and a trusted member of the team.
		A/3-7 proudly upholds this tradition within the 7th Cavalry Regiment’s virtual operations in Squad. Each vehicle, whether a main battle tank or infantry fighting vehicle; is named by its crew, often following naming conventions that reflect the company’s identity, history, or internal themes. 		==History==
		Argali (arr-gah-lee) Company (A/3-7) was officially activated on June 14, 2025, as part of the 3rd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment within the Squad tactical gaming community. Initially designated as 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, Auxiliary Combat Detachment (1/C/ACD), 7th Cavalry Gaming Regiment was the first platoon formed under Charlie Company and was originally composed exclusively of infantry personnel. As the unit experienced rapid growth, its structure was expanded to include two additional platoons. The original 1st Platoon transitioned into a specialized armored and mechanized infantry element to meet evolving operational demands. Upon reorganization at the battalion level, the platoon retained its mechanized identity and was formally re-designated as Argali Company, A/3-7, establishing its place as a core component of the regiment's armored capabilities.
