Purpose

To provide familiarization to MILPACS for S1 Personnel

Roles and Responsibilities

Role Description
S1 Headquarters
  • Ensure that all personnel are aware of this SOP and their role within the department
S1 MILPACs Lead
  • The LEAD of S1 MILPACs is to support the execution of duties assigned to the department by S1 HQ with respect to the recording of any personnel records in the MILPACs system.
  • Responsible for reporting issues and problems up to S1 2IC.
  • Responsible for the ongoing health and morale of the sub-department.
  • Responsible for supervision on any service record changes and medal recordings for personnel.
  • Responsible for adherence of Service Records to the SOP
  • Responsible for submitting any edits to Service Records SOP for approval by S1 HQ
  • Responsible for timely and accurately processing relevant information with regards to personnel in the MILPACs system.
  • Responsible for placing S1 Holds on posts that violate established 7th Cavalry Regiment SOPs till a resolution is found via S1 HQ
S1 MILPACS Senior
  • The MILPACS Senior is to support the S1 MILPACs Lead by performing quality control work over the Clerks MILPACs entry. Within 7 days of posting, the Senior will mark the post as S1 Complete or provide feedback to the clerk as to what needs to be fixed.
  • Responsible for the continual training and feedback to the S1 MILPACs clerks
  • Responsible for the quality checking the service record entries within 7 days of processing
  • Responsible for providing feedback to new clerks within there 30 day probationary period in the department.
MILPACS Clerk
  • The Clerks are the backbone of the department and are responsible for updating a troopers MILPAC. They report to there assigned AO Lead and pass along any issues that they may have. The MILPACS Lead will assign you to an area of operation you will be responsible for.

  • Troop Promotions & Recruit Graduations
  • Medals & Awards
  • PAF's & Discharges
  • Troop Transfers
  • Position Announcements & S3 Graduations
  • On a daily basis MILPACs clerks:
  • Check your alerts. You should be watching the forum(s) that correspond to your area of operations.
  • Deal with the oldest posts first. Ensure none go over the specified deadline.
  • Bring any issues to the attention of your lead or the S1 2IC as soon as possible using Discord or the department PM thread.

MILPACS Familiarization

MILPACS is the software system used by the 7th Cavalry to track each trooper's progress and achievements while a member. Everything from the date the trooper enlists to the date they are discharged or retire is kept in MILPACS.

The S1 MILPACs department is responsible for keeping each members MILPAC up to date on Enlistments, Graduation of S3 Courses, Promotions, Transfers, Position Announcements, Medals and Awards received, any kind of ELOA actions, and Discharges.
